This ASI676MC from ZWO is fitted with an exceptionally low readout noise, small pixels, and a square sensor. Its high sensitivity makes it perfect for capturing the planets, lunar photography, and even meteor recording with its all-sky imaging capabilities. Through its versatile design, thoughtful architecture, and numerous ports, this feature-packed color camera is ideal for any astroimager.

The Sony IMX676 sensor provides stunning clarity within the captured frames. The square format makes it easy to stitch together mosaics, allowing for high resolution images with rich detail. The UV/IR-cut coated window reduces any infrared interferences that may occur when collecting light, upholding image quality even further! Not only this, but ZWO has furnished this camera with careful wiring that eliminates amp glow entirely. Also included is a 256MB memory buffer, Sony’s powerful STARVIS 2 technology, and built in High Conversion Gain (HCG) mode. Transfer your data safely and reliably with the included USB 3.0 port, or utilize the ST4 port for your guiding needs.

Sony IMX676 CMOS Sensor with STARVIS 2
Crafted with Sony STARVIS 2 technology, this IMX676 sensor is back illuminated, increasing its infrared sensitivity and providing more clarity within the capture frames. As opposed to wires and transistors in front of the pixel wells in typical front illuminated cameras, this wiring is behind the pixel wells for impressed signal collection. This square sensor has a 3552x3552 pixel array, delivering 12.6MP of resolution within your images! The remarkably low readout noise of 0.56e, pixel size of 2um, peak QE of 83% help resolve fine detail. This ASI676MC also features a 12bit ADC, full well capacity of 10.55Ke, and a max FPS of 31.2.

Electronic Highlights
This ASI676MC comes standard with High Conversion Gain (HCG) mode. This feature maintains the near 11 stops of high dynamic range when imaging with high gain settings, and automatically kicks in at a gain setting of 180. Also onboard is the 256MB memory cache. The addition of internal memory helps preserve your images during data transfer, and greatly reduces buffer time. In typical CMOS cameras, weak infrared light leaks into the captured frames. This light leak is known as amp glow, and requires the introduction of dark frames to calibrate out. With the internal structure of the ASI676MC, amp glow is completely eliminated

USB 3.0 and ST4 Guide Port
During high speed imaging, such as is required with planetary, solar, and lunar astrophotography, having a system in place that reliably transfers data is crucial. This is why ZWO has fixed this ASI676MC with a USB 3.0 port. The 5Gb bandwidth effectively transmits the captured images in a timely manner! This ASI676MC can also be utilized as an effective guide camera as well, and comes standard with a ST4 port for connection directly to your mount.
