The Arrival of Innovation – STX
At William Optics, we constantly strive to refine and enhance the astrophotography experience. Today, we are excited to introduce the Sensor Tilt Xterminator (STX)—a major evolution in sensor tilt adjustment, designed to provide astrophotographers with a faster, more precise, and user-friendly solution for achieving perfect optical alignment.
A Smarter, More Efficient Tilt Adjustment System
The STX builds upon the foundation of traditional sensor tilt adjusters, offering a streamlined and intuitive design that eliminates the need for cumbersome disassembly. Unlike conventional systems that require camera removal for tilt correction, the STX allows adjustments to be made directly from the side of the assembly, significantly reducing setup time and enhancing ease of use.
By refining the original 4 pull-in and 8 push-out screw configuration into a more efficient 4 push-out and 4 locked screw system, the STX enables precise and controlled adjustments. Operating like a seesaw mechanism, the system allows for effortless corrections—simply loosen one screw and tighten the opposite diagonal screw to achieve fine tilt alignment. This ensures that astrophotographers can make on-the-fly refinements without disrupting their imaging workflow, maintaining pinpoint star performance across the entire frame.
Ultra-Cat 108 Release Update
As we integrate this cutting-edge adjustment system into the Ultra-Cat 108, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of precision and craftsmanship. However, to ensure every unit meets our exacting quality requirements, we must extend the release timeline beyond our original launch date. While we understand the anticipation surrounding the UltraCat 108, our priority remains delivering an uncompromising astrophotography experience.
We appreciate your patience and support as we finalize production. Stay tuned for further updates, and thank you for being part of the William Optics journey—where innovation meets excellence in astronomical imaging.
