If you'd like to mount your Multi-Reticle finderscope to a hinged telescope mounting ring, then the Stellarvue F2E is your answer. Custom machined at Stellarvue, the F2E utilizes the pre-existing center hole found on most 1" wide hinged ring assemblies. Just attach the quick release dovetail foot to your Stellarvue F2 Finderscope (sold separately). Install the shoe on one of your hinged rings. Install the foot with finder, tighten it in place and then align the finder and you're good to go!
The square base fits both 1" wide rings and the smaller width 20 mm rings found on many import telescopes.
At the end of the observing evening, simply release the knobs, slide off your finder with foot and store for future evenings of stargazing. (Does not fit Stellarvue F1001 Red Dot Finders.)
