The Askar Losmandy-style universal dovetail plate is made of lightweight aluminum alloy and is more resistant to scratches or collisions due to its anodized red finish. The dovetail plate is highly compatible with a wide array of telescope tube rings. Its heavy-duty design equips the Askar Losmandy-style dovetail plate with an extraordinary load capacity.
With more mounting slots pre-drilled on the plate, users can slightly adjust the spacing between tube rings, thus allowing for many more possible mounting options. The mounting holes also meet a variety of needs, offering more potential connections.
You may also notice four half-threaded holes tapped close to the edge of the width—two on each side. When you place four screws from the bottom, they will prevent the dovetail plate from slipping away when mounted on an EQ mount.
There are two variants of the Askar Losmandy-style universal dovetail plate: Askar LDP (Losmandy Dovetail Plate) 200 and Askar LDP 300. The numbers in the names refer to the lengths of the dovetail plate, which are measured in millimeters.
