If you are using you are using your Vespera Smart Telescope and concerned about the lens fogging, this is your solution. In a humid or cold environment, you need a tool like this Vaonis Hygrometer Sensor to avoid droplets and fog from accumulating on the lens of your telescope. This will help you keep the quality of your observations and imaging. This intelligent Vespera accessory measures the temperature and humidity threshold at which fogging can occur.
This Hygrometer Sensor accessory is fantastic for amateur astronomers living in humid regions, such as by the sea, rivers, lakes, ponds, etc. It is also ideal for those who live in cold temperatures. You can even use it in the winter to keep your lens from fogging up during those chilly days that are close to freezing. There are many benefits to adding this accessory to your Vespera setup. Those benefits include better viewing and sharper images in what would be considered less-than-ideal viewing and imaging weather conditions, like when it's cold and/or humidity is high.
Learn About the Top-Quality Features of the Hygrometer Sensor!
Vaonis has designed this hygrometer sensor to discreetly fit the Vespera Smart telescope. When the telescope and accessory are paired, you are unlocking your telescope's dew and fog-fighting protection, including anti-fogging and improved focus. Learn more below.
Anti-Fogging System
When you use this hygrometer sensor with the Vespera Smart telescope, it will activate the Vespera's internal demister once a certain temperature and humidity threshold is reached. Heat will generate continuously around the lens of the telescope. This heat will remove fog and prevent droplets from staying on the lens.
Improved Focus
When condensation produces fogging, it affects the focus of the Vespera's photo sensor. This causes the initialization and acquisition times to be longer due to the rejection of images in the image processing algorithms due to diminished quality and decreased sharpness. With the hygrometer sensor and the activation of the demisting system, the above issues will no longer be a problem, and your experience, whether observational or when you are imaging, will improve.
Discreet Design
The Vaonis Hygrometer sensor measures under 13 mm, and is equipped with the smallest electronic board Vaonis' engineers have ever designed. The sensor fits discreetly into the optical arm of the Vespera. It is also compatible with the use of filters. The hygrometer sensor will automatically turn the anti-fog system on and off, so you do not have to worry about any manual manipulation after it's in place.
SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING USAGE: Relative humidity can vary depending on what is measured by a weather station and what the instrument sees at the exact location where it is located.
Since it is close to the ground, this can have a significant influence.
The hygrometer is not intended to act as a weather station, and the measured value is only used to control the defogging algorithm.
