Designed using an apochromatic 4-element/2-group lens configuration, the Daystar Filter 25mm Orthoscopic Eyepiece is a useful addition to your solar observing kit. By it's nature, an orthoscopic produces a flat field of view with minimal field curvature or astigmatism to produce views with sharp and crisp details. Unlike conventional orthos, this model features a wide 62° apparent angle of view that, when coupled with the long focal length, will allow large portions of the sun to be easily seen. Daystar built the eyepiece with a standard 1.25" diameter barrel to make it compatible with the most popular size of drawtubes and accessories, with a convenient fold-down rubber eyecup.
