- Enhances clarity for observations of the Moon, Venus, and bright double stars by reducing brightness and decreasing glare
- 13% light transmission
- Provides a true color image
- Compatible with any 1.25" eyepiece from Celestron
With this Celestron Neutral Density Moon Filter attached to your 1.25" eyepiece, the amount of light entering is reduced by 87%. The Moon is the most frequently viewed and brightest object in the night sky, but this shouldn't prevent you from being able to view the details of its surface. Only 13% of the telescope's light is allowed to reach the eyepiece with this filter for a much more enjoyable viewing experience. Contrary to color filters, Neutral Density Moon filters affect all colors of the visual spectrum equally, darkening the image without the color fluctuating.
This filter is also great for helping to cut glare and increase contrast when viewing bright planets like Venus or Jupiter, or even to dim bright stars when splitting close double stars. Made of glass with an aluminum cell, this Celestron Moon Filter attaches to 1.25" eyepieces and features threading on both sides for stacking with color filters.
