Celestron TrailSeeker ED series binoculars, like this compact 10x32 model, deliver the kind of superior outdoor performance that birding and nature observing devotees require. An abundance of optical, mechanical, and ergonomic features are jam-packed into these binoculars, making them more comfortable to use while elevating them to the same class as two to five times more expensive models.
ED Objective Lenses
Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass virtually eliminates chromatic aberration, also known as color fringing, a visual defect common in binoculars. TrailSeeker ED binoculars offer edge-to-edge sharpness with excellent color correction and razor-sharp images.
The quality of some ED glass, like that used by these Celestron 10x32 binoculars, is notably higher than other ED glass. Because of this, TrailSeeker ED binoculars are able to produce images that are clearly brighter and sharper than those produced by binoculars without internal ED glass. The difference becomes particularly evident when viewing in a low light environment, such as at sunrise or sunset.
Coatings and Prisms
With TrailSeeker ED binoculars, all air-to-glass surfaces contain multiple layers of anti-reflectivity coatings to allow the greatest amount of light possible to be transmitted through the glass to your eye. This certifies these binoculars as “fully multi-coated.”
TrailSeeker ED binoculars have an internal prism made of high quality BaK-4 glass with both phase and dielectric coatings to reflect a greater amount of light and redirect it to your eye. Fully multi-coated optics and BaK-4 prisms combine to maximize light transmission, revealing the most vivid, highly detailed images attainable.
Binocular Body
Made of a lightweight and durable magnesium alloy, TrailSeeker ED binoculars have a tough, resilient, rubber-coated frame that holds up to harsh wear and tear in the field. Furthermore, these binoculars are fully waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prohibit internal lens fogging.
Durable twist-up eyecups provide comfort for those wearing eyeglasses while observing with the TrailSeeker ED, as well as those who don’t. Multiple click stops are available. Simply twist through them to find your optimal position.
Perfect for a Variety of Uses
With a close focus of only 8.2 feet, TrailSeeker ED binoculars are perfect for viewing nearby subjects such as birds, butterflies, and plants. However, this 10x32 binocular provides the magnification required to achieve great views of distant subjects as well, in addition to a wide field of view to allow you to easily track them as they move. These binoculars are highly versatile and serve many functions so whatever your manner of observing, they will be there for you.
Ways to Observe
Accessories you will receive with these TrailSeeker ED binoculars include a soft case for protection between uses while being stored or transported. In addition, a neck strap and carrying harness are included for a more comfortable viewing experience. TrailSeeker ED binoculars are also tripod adaptable, so you can mount them on any standard photographic tripod for extended viewing or digiscoping sessions using a separately sold tripod adapter.
