Why settle for mediocre observing when you can have unparallel image fidelity with the Baader Fluorite Flatfield Converter? Baader's Flatfield Converter enables a diffraction-limited, apochromatic, flat field over a 90 mm circular format.
Baader Planetarium Fluorite Flatfield Converter Features:
- Baader Planetarium's Fluorite Flatfield Converter is a must-have accessory for critical high power lunar and planetary observing or astrophotography
- Protects against chromatic aberration or optical defects in an image
- A fully multi-coated seven-layer design which works well on many optical systems such as Newtonians, Schmidt-Cassegrains, Apochromatic Refractors, etc.
- Very easy to use with your telescope equipment
Baader Planetarium's Fluorite Flatfield Converter is a great accessory for critcal high-power lunar and planetary observing as well as any type of projection photography. Designed by one of the APQ optical inventors, the 4 element Fluorite Flatfield Converter covers up to a 6 cm x 7 cm format, at magnifications up to 8x. This converter enables a diffraction-limited, apochromatic flat field image over a 90 mm circular format. The fluorite lens design eliminates any chromatic aberration or other optical defects in your images.
Baader's Fluorite Flatfield Converter is fully multi-coated with a hard seven layer design. Incorporating this optical accessory in a telescope or camera results in very high transmission and suppression of stray light. Each optical surface is polished with highest optical standards of 1/10 wave accuracy in order not to disrupt any incoming wavefront from your telescope. The design works equally well on optical systems such as Newtonians, Schmidt-Cassegrains, Ritchey Chretiens, Apochromatic Refractors, etc.
